An introduction to the South American bumblebee catfish of the genus Microglanis, their species identification, care, and reproduction. Additional topics include their relationship to other Pseudopimelodids and to unrelated "bumblebee" cats from around the world.
In recent years there has been some confusion on some species of wood catfish coming into the trade. Which species is which? To assist us, we will look at wood catfish in the wild and discuss some of the potential relationships to one another. This talk will also share some of the new species coming into the trade as well as some updates on their captive care. A talk with a little of everything.
